What is the Vehicle Avoidance List?
This is a list of vehicles that “AVOID” being on a traditional mainstream vehicle provenance check such as HPI, Experian, Total Car Check, AA Car Check, RAC Car Check etc. All of the cars on the vehicle avoidance list have information that anyone buying the car would want to know i.e. Uber, Taxi, ex Police etc.
My Story
Hello I am Sophie, the founder of VAL. After a personal experience I sadly uncovered that there are big gaps in data and lack of knowledge in the motor trade. So I decided to create the Vehicle Avoidance List to help others! Buying a used car is risky business and the supposedly ‘expert’ advice out there is outdated and flawed.

My hope for the VAL check is to help others from being hoodwinked like I was when I purchased a car. I hope that by people using this free service it will help to raise awareness and the overall standards in the motor industry that dealers should provide for all car buyers.
